St Wolfsberg Weather - Two distinct seasons
St Wolfsberg lies in the province of Carinthia and experiences two distinct season; summer and winter. This allows for a wide variety of summer and winter activities to participate in all year round. The winters are cool and dry, with daily temperatures averaging between 0C and 4C in the winter months. January is the coldest month of the year with temperatures dropping rapidly to lows of -7C in January, slowly climbing to -2C in March.
 
Weather in St Wolfsberg - Long summer days
Winter months in on a holiday in St Wolfsberg have an average of 9hours of daylight, with approximately 2-3hours of sunshine. During the summer, there are up to 16hours of daylight per day, giving you long days to explore the region. Temperatures average between 22C and 24C in June, July and August, with up to 8hours of sunlight per day. These are perfect conditions to hike or cycle around the region comfortable. Remember, the UV index reaches a ‘very high’ level in June and July, sun protection is a must.

Cycle & Hike
St Wolfsberg is surrounded by beautiful scenery, what better way to explore the natural wonders of this region than by bicycle or on foot. There are 500km of cycle routes in the region and many well marked walking trails. Bicycles are easy to rent and many guided cycle tours are on offer. You can also choose to take a guided walking tour, a great way to learn a little more about the natural flora and fauna surrounding you.
 
Winter Activities
The region of St Wolfsberg is home to the Lavant Valley, where you will find the ski slopes of Koralpe and Klippitztörl. These are well maintained slopes with an abundance of facilities. Good snow conditions are experienced here and they have an operating lift system. Cross country skiing is another popular winter activity with many trails to choose from. Both indoor and outdoor ice-skating can be found in St Wolfsberg, along with other winter holiday activities such as curling and sledging.
 
Summer Activities
With incredible warm days in the summer months, there are many different ways to spend your warm days, keeping you and the kids entertained. Swim in the open-air pool, try your hand at archery or visit the courts for a game of tennis, squash or badminton.

Las Alpujarras Weather – 320 sunny days per year

The Sierra Nevada National Park will be the place for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking in 12 hours of daily summer sunshine. There is very little difference between the air and sea temperatures and swimming and boating in Las Alpujarra’s lakes is an excellent way to spend a hot sunny day.

The spring and autumn weather in Las Alpujarras will be ideal for holidaymakers who enjoy sports activities and sightseeing. Sports Activities

There are four golf courses within a mere 30 minute drive from Las Alpujarras. The Santa Clara and Medina Elvira are both 18-hole championship golf courses with lake features and superb mountain views. The 18-hole Los Moriscos golf course is located near the town of Motril and a round of golf can be combined with a trip to Motril’s golden beaches.
 
Water Sports
